It is my belief that free will/choice is an illusion. It is, however a very necessary illusion for centiant beings to continue to live. In order for a centiant being to fulfill it's destiny, they must at all times believe that they are in control of said destiny. You may feel that we are free to "change" the address in our internal GPS whenever we wish based upon the choices we make, and that we must do the "driving" or we'll never reach our destined address... the "choice" you make, are not your own. You may say that you are the one that makes the choice, but the available choices that you have to make your choice from is completely out of your control. Even your "will" is a product of your parents and your surroundings, all of which are out of your control.

consider this: an experiment conducted with the EXACT same initial conditions will ALWAYS yeild the same results. This is proven by mathamatics. 2 + 2 will ALWAYS equal 4. we know this because we know ALL of the possible varibles. We don't know what will happen because it is IMPOSSIBLE to know ALL the varibles that affect our everyday lives. We feel that we can "change" our destiny because we there appears to be an infinite amount of possibilities for us, and the reason the possibilites seems so infinite is due to our lack of knowledge of all the varibles that goes into determining our lives.

One may say "well, I'm deciding to do this just because I want to." But even that notion is a product of elements that raised him. Be it his surroundings, or his parents, or some sort of outside influence.

Like it or not, we are guided by the wheels of fate. You can either accpet it and enjoy the ride, or try to fight it with fiber of your being. Either way, you'll always end up the way you are meant to.
