It’s funny to find myself writing this. It’s funny because English is not my first language. It’s funny because 5 years back I was struggling for enough words to put together a proper email. Today, friends come to me to write-up something for them explaining a situation to the boss, apologize someone, sending a love note and so on. I am still learning to hone my skills and what I am sharing in this article are things that helped me put my ideas on to paper (word processor in this case) little more effectively. Hope you find these helpful. Your comments are welcome! This is not just about writing an article but will also help you with any writing that you have to do: business, book, casual emails or anything of that sort. I will be honest, I am not an authority in the field of written communication but this is just an attempt to share things that helped me and could possibly help others. So, this is NOT for advanced writers although you may find a point or two new here
. Let’s get into the meat now: 1. What interests you? Look [...] Continue Reading…
Photo Credit: emilio labrador (License) What is Spirit and enlightenment? A conversation between friends! It’s funny sometimes how the casual chatting conversations give way to some deep insights. My friend and I work in different office locations for the same company so we pretty much use messenger as our main medium of conversation all the time and sometimes these chat conversations go far deeper than a live conversation. Below is one of such conversations about Spirit/enlightenment. Feel free to add your comments. Q: Have you ever felt closer to Spirit? If so, how did you know you were close? A: Hmm…I had few moments but I don’t know how close, certainly I could not measure the distance J Q: How do you define that moment? A: When I used to lie down on terrace and stare at stars and felt as if I knew that place like I have been there, in that overwhelming experience I felt I was closest to the spirit. Q: Is being trance count as being close to spirit? A: Could be. All the masters we have learned so far tell us one thing [...] Continue Reading…
Six years back I was working in my home country for a monthly wage of $40, I knew this was not enough. I was desperate for a change. Then change came in the form a new job where I earned $150 a month, this may not sound much but for me this meant more than 300% increase. Fast forward, I am now making in a day what I used to make in a month. This shift in my income levels taught me one thing, money is just a medium, and it’s all about experiences. If money cannot buy us experiences which make us smile and feel grateful, then all we are left with is a trash of green paper with no use. That is why in this article I will share with you my definition of wealth and ways we can start feeling abundant, beginning from where we are. Law of attraction states that the more abundant we feel the more we attract it into your life. Well, my question was basic, like lot of others, how can I feel abundant when my bank account shows an overdraft. The questions lead me to many answers from renowned teachers [...] Continue Reading…
There has been a great buzz about the end of the world which happens to be on December the 21st of 2012 to be precise 11.11 am GMT. There you have it, exact time, date & year on when we will all perish. Yeah, right. So you believe that we are all alive today to die tomorrow? are we? A great master once said “Live life so fully that when death comes you are ready to embrace it, then death disappears”.
Now my take on 2012, this is just my opinion, you do not have to agree. In his book, ‘God without religion’, Sankara Saranam describes the cycle theory which talks about various cycles in the human evolution, each cycle affected by the distance from the truth (spiritual truth), according to his studies Golden age depicted the highly enlightened period and the Iron age being the pinnacle of ignorance. The ignorance of spiritual knowledge as we go farther from the golden age and lowest point is when we are farthest which happens to fall during the period 500 CE, considered Dark Age in the history. According to his study of cycle theory, we have already started [...] Continue Reading…

The question whether we are driven by our fate or if we have a free will to choose the path we walk on has always been intriguing. In the east, it is a common belief that the life is guided by the fate and if you are from west, you most probably believe that life is what we make out of it i.e., we have free will.
Are we carrying out a pre-written agenda that someone out there has handed out to us upon our birth or is it that our life is for us to make is a question as ancient as our consciousness itself. Are we merely steering towards our destiny which is already fixed or is it that we determine where we drive? Is there no point in striving to do better since everything is already decided and our action or inaction does not make any difference?
Did you find yourself asking this question anytime? I have. In this article I want to share my perspective of this age old debate.
Let us for a second consider that life is all pre-determined, that is irrespective of what we do or not do, we are bound [...] Continue Reading…
